چکیده

In the context of human evolution, study proteins may overcome limitation high degradation ancient DNA over time to provide biomolecular information useful for phylogenetic reconstruction hominid taxa. this study, we used a shotgun proteomics approach compare tooth proteomes extant and non-human primates (gorilla, chimpanzee, orangutan baboon) in order search panel peptides able discriminate between taxa further help reconstructing evolutionary relationships fossil primates. Among 25 shared by five genera datasets, found combination with sequence variations allowing differentiate AHSG, AMBN, APOA1, BGN, C9, COL11A2, COL22A1, COL3A1, DSPP, F2, LUM, OMD, PCOLCE SERPINA1. The tree confirms placement samples appropriate genus branches. Altogether, results experimental evidence that on dental tissue has potential detect taxonomic variation, which is promising future investigations uncharacterized and/or hominid/hominin specimens. A primate teeth allowed identify interest, highlighting studies fossils.

Proteomic analysis of human tooth pulp proteomes - Comparison of caries-resistant and caries-susceptible persons.

UNLABELLED Most people in the world suffer from dental caries, >90% of adults experience caries on enamel and root surfaces during their life. However, the overall roles of all factors in the development of dental caries still remain unclear and are worthy of recent investigation. In this study we used a proteomic 2D-DIGE approach in connection with MS/MS to investigate the different protein ab...

P-50: Elongating and Elongated Spermatids Manufactured In Vitro from Non-Human Primate Pluripotent Stem Cells

Background: We have recently shown that human embryonic (hESCs) and induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) can differentiate into advanced spermatogenic cells including round spermatids by in vitro culture (Easley et al., Direct differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells into haploid spermatogenic cells. Cell Reports 2, 440-446 2012) and also, in collaboration, that rhesus spermatogonial ...

Non-alignment comparison of human and high primate genomes

Compositional spectra (CS) analysis based on k-mer scoring of DNA sequences was employed in this study for dot-plot comparison of human and primate genomes. The detection of extended conserved synteny regions was based on continuous fuzzy similarity rather than on chains of discrete anchors (genes or highly conserved noncoding elements). In addition to the high correspondence found in the compa...

Comparison of non-human primate and human whole blood tissue gene expression profiles.

Gene expression profiling is an important tool in the development of medical countermeasures against chemical warfare agents (CWAs). Non-human primates (NHPs), specifically the rhesus macaque (Macaca mulatta), the cynomologus macaque (Macaca fascicularis), and the African green monkey (Chlorocebus aethiops), are vital models in the development of CWA prophylactics, therapeutics, and diagnostics...
